At Sparks Appliance Repair, our goal is to provide dependable appliance repair service while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The following policies help ensure that service visits can be completed effectively and that expectations are clear for both the customer and the technician.

Service Call Fee

A $95 service call fee applies to all service visits. This fee covers the technician’s travel to your location and the diagnostic inspection required to determine the cause of the appliance problem.

If you choose to proceed with the recommended repair, the service call fee is typically applied toward the total repair cost.

Payment Policy

Most repairs are paid upon completion of the work once the appliance has been repaired and verified to be functioning properly.

In some cases, a partial payment may be required to order special or high-cost replacement parts. This deposit helps cover the cost of parts that must be ordered specifically for the repair.

Appliance Accessibility

Appliances must be reasonably accessible for service. If an appliance is blocked by cabinetry, stored items, flooring, or other obstructions, the technician may be unable to safely access the appliance for inspection or repair.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that appliances are accessible prior to the service visit. If the appliance cannot be safely accessed during the visit, the technician may need to reschedule the service once access has been provided. The service call fee may still apply for the visit.

Built-In Appliances

Some appliances such as wall ovens, cooktops, built-in refrigerators, or appliances secured within cabinetry may require removal from surrounding structures before service can be performed.

Sparks Appliance Repair does not perform cabinetry modifications or structural removal. If the appliance cannot be safely removed or accessed, service may need to be postponed until proper access has been provided.

Unsanitary Conditions

Appliances located in unsanitary or hazardous environments may prevent safe service. Situations involving excessive debris, strong odors, mold, or pest infestations may require cleaning before work can be performed.

If conditions are determined to be unsafe, service may be declined or postponed until the area has been properly cleaned. Additional service fees may apply if excessive preparation is required before work can begin.

Diagnostic and Service Visits

A service visit includes diagnosing the appliance to determine the cause of the problem. Because many appliance repairs require specific replacement parts, repairs often involve one or two service visits.

After diagnosing the issue, the technician will explain the recommended repair and discuss any parts that may need to be ordered.

Parts Availability

Most appliance parts must be ordered after the problem has been diagnosed. Delivery times may vary depending on manufacturer availability and shipping timelines.

Once the required parts arrive, a return visit will be scheduled to complete the repair.

Customer-Supplied Parts

Customers may request installation of parts they have purchased themselves. However, Sparks Appliance Repair cannot guarantee the compatibility or reliability of customer-supplied parts.

If a customer-provided part is incorrect, defective, or incompatible with the appliance, additional diagnostic time or service visits may be required. Sparks Appliance Repair is not responsible for issues caused by customer-supplied parts.

Repair Warranty and Return Visits

Sparks Appliance Repair stands behind the quality of the work performed. If the same issue related to the original repair occurs after service, the appliance may be evaluated to determine whether the issue is related to the previous repair.

Warranty coverage applies only to the specific components that were repaired or replaced during the original service. If a separate or unrelated issue is discovered, it will be treated as a new service call.

Warranty coverage does not apply if the appliance has been moved, altered, or serviced by another party after the original repair.
